Basic Blackjack Rules
Card Values
Cards 2 through 10 are worth their face value. J, Q and K are each worth 10, and an Ace can count as either 1 or 11.
The Goal — 21
Both the player and the dealer aim to get the highest card total without going over 21. If you go over 21 you go Bust and lose immediately.
Hit and Stand
Hit means you take one more card. Stand means you stick with your current total and wait to see the dealer's cards.
Double Down

Split
If you get two cards of equal value, you can split them into two separate hands and play each one independently. Splitting two Aces is a solid strategy.
Insurance
If the dealer's face-up card is an Ace, you can place an Insurance Bet. If the dealer has Blackjack, the Insurance Bet pays 2:1. However, experienced players often avoid this bet.
